Rosalia

Rosalia Vila (aka Rosalia) is a Spanish flamenco and pop vocalist. Since her teen years she has been at the edges of both popular and traditional music. She also plays with genres like hip-hop trap, and soul. Her voice is said by no less a talent than flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet however with a bit of bite similar to the old ones. El Mal Querer gained her fame and critical acclaim when her debut album Los Angeles was released in the year 2017. It earned it an award called the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami, her third album, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The set came out in the month of March 2022, following an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the track Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer to sing on her own in the show. As well as winning three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia, she also became the first female to be awarded the Latin Album of the Year twice.
